Private suites, meals and meds on your dog’s schedule, individual potty breaks and outside time through the day, and staff in the building all night. VIP nights ($89) add a play session, cuddle time, a bath and a photo.

Full days, Monday to Friday. Small trainer-led groups — we mix sizes and match energy and personalities, with rest built in so your dog comes home happy-tired, not frazzled.

Staff in the building 24 hours a day
Your dog is never locked up and left until morning. Senior and special-needs guests sleep in the suites beside our staff lounge and are checked through the night.
Small groups, not a free-for-all
Every playgroup is trainer-led. We mix sizes, match energy and personalities, and set boundaries — the bouncy adolescent learns to be polite with the older dogs.
No surprise fees
Holiday nights are $10 extra. That is the only fee we charge — no exit-bath fee, no late-pickup fee, no evaluation fee, no intact-dog upcharge.
Medications given free
Oral meds, drops and prescription diets on your dog’s schedule, at no charge. Many places bill per dose. We don’t.
Every dog is welcome
Intact males and females, seniors on five medications, puppies, anxious dogs, dogs that failed the “interview” somewhere else. We meet the dog in front of us.
A real person answers
Call or text and you reach someone who knows your dog by name — usually Teresa, the owner, who is here every day.
Meet Teresa and the house dogs
Paws Up is owned and run by Teresa VanGilder, who is in the building every day — you will meet her at your tour, and she is usually the one who answers the phone.
Four house dogs share the building with your dog. Gizmo, the Havanese, is our unofficial senior specialist — a nervous older dog who won’t settle for a person will often relax next to a calm little dog. Ember, a German Shepherd, is the daycare nanny who keeps play polite. Raven, a Malinois, is the daycare helper who gets the shy ones moving. Sadie, a retired mixed-breed lady, is the window watcher who keeps an eye on the lot.
We are on Los Rios Blvd in East Plano, a few minutes from downtown Plano, Murphy, Wylie and Richardson.

What services does Paws Up offer?
Overnight dog boarding, trainer-led dog daycare, senior and special-needs boarding, a private indoor dog park, therapy-dog evaluations, and pet nutrition consulting (coming soon) in Plano, TX. All dogs are welcome, including intact, anxious and reactive dogs. Your first day of daycare is free.
Where are you and what are your hours?
2200 Los Rios Blvd, Suite 130, Plano, TX 75074, near Los Rios and 14th Street in East Plano. Lobby hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 7pm and Saturday and Sunday 8am to 2pm. Staff are onsite 24 hours a day, and boarding dogs are housed beside the staff lounge and monitored overnight.
What makes Paws Up different from other dog daycares in Plano?
Every playgroup is trainer-led, and we mix sizes while matching energy and personalities rather than grouping dogs at random. We welcome dogs other facilities turn away, including intact, anxious and reactive dogs, and we never charge extra for intact dogs, medications or last-minute bookings. The owner is onsite every day.
How much does boarding and daycare cost?
Boarding is $55 per night with 20% off each additional dog from the same family. VIP boarding is $89 per night and adds a daycare or park session, cuddle time, a bath, a photo and a treat. Daycare is $35 per day, or $499 per month for unlimited daycare with a second dog at 50% off. Holiday nights are $10 extra — that is the only additional fee.
Do you board senior or special-needs dogs?
Yes. Senior and special-needs dogs board at our standard $55 per night with no surcharge, and we give oral medications and eye or ear drops at no extra charge. We do not give injections. Prescription diets are welcome. More on senior boarding →
What vaccines are required?
Rabies, distemper and bordetella. Upload records in your Owner Portal, email them to [email protected], or just give us your vet’s name and we will request them for you.
